    Description
    This is a very nice, fully original,
    "Duit"
    from the
    "Batavian Republic"
    which only existed from 1795 until 1806. It was struck for use in the Netherland's colonies in the
    "Dutch East Indies"
    , now modern Indonesia.
    The
    "Batavian Republic"
    put an end to the
    "Republic of the Seven United Netherlands"
    . It was imposed on the country by French revolutionary forces and only lasted until Napoleon decided to make his little brother Louis a King. He ended the
    "Republic"
    and put him on the throne in 1806.
    Weight: 2.72 Gram, 22 Millimeter, Copper.
