COMIC STRIP "LUCKY BUCKS" PLAY MONEY LOT
- 1932. Each approx. 4.75" x 2" (unless noted). Color litho on newsprint.
These attractive novelties were offered in the Sunday Comics section of the Baltimore Sun newspaper. They were on the same page as the comics, and designed to be cut out and collected as play money toys.
We are offering twelve examples, each with authorized comic characters. Included are
Felix the Cat, Bonzo the dog, Happy Hooligan, Toonerville Trolley Folks
(Handlebar Hank, 3.5" x 1.75"),
Just Kids, Popeye, Toots and Jasper, Dumb Dora
(Chic Young), etc.
All are pre-cut from the 1932 Baltimore "funny pages." Other comic strip images can be seen on the backs (including Bringing up Father and Popeye).
AS A BONUS
, we will include a (c) 1933 EZ Play Money "One Smacker" note (6.25" x 2.75", scattered edge tears and chips).

Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Mild surface creasing with no tears or separations (unless noted). Scattered "Lucky Bucks" have erratically cut edging with one lower edge chip. Imagery is still bold, bright and attractive.
Overall, we feel this is a very displayable grouping by most standards (see photos).
Collectively, they would make a great addition for the discriminating VINTAGE COMIC CHARACTER MEMORABILIA enthusiast. On a condition code scale of 1 to 10, the above listed item(s) rated - (7-6).
