"MAMMY YOKUM" DOLL
- 1950s Baby Barry Toys N.Y.C. Part of the Al Capp "Dog Patch Family" doll series. 5" x 13.5" soft vinyl doll with original fabric/felt outfit & plastic shoes.
Al Capp was best known as the cartoonist for the popular "Li'l Abner" comic strip.
A great cartoon likeness with original fabric tag. Includes original "corncob" pipe (frequently missing).
An outstanding comic character toy with excellent eye appeal.
Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Moderate discoloration on fabric elements (most evident on felt jacket trim). No vinyl or fabric tears apparent. Colors are still bold & attractive.
Overall, a very nice representation in very displayable condition by most standards (see photos).
A scarce addition to any LI'L ABNER and/or CHARACTER DOLL/TOY collection. On a condition code scale of 1 to 10, the above listed item(s) rated - (7-6).
