Big was the word at Chevrolet for 1958, and with big-block V-8 power, this Impala convertible is living large. The Impala made its debut for 1958 at the top of the all-new Chevrolet lineup fleet that was longer, lower, wider and bigger than before. Chevrolet put a lot more car on its all-new X-frame chassis and loaded it with big car “Sculpturamic” styling featuring gullwing rear fenders. The Impala package added ribbed sill panels, chrome-plated simulated air scoops ahead of the rear fender wells, Impala script, crossed flag emblems and signature three-across tail lights.
Snowcrest White paint complements the longer, lower and wider body with elegance. The styling is accented by chrome and polished aluminum accents from the four-across headlights and wraparound windshield to the triple grouped tail lights that became a signature Impala visual feature. The power convertible top automatically retracts and reveals a gray, black and red tri-tone luxury lounge interior. Wonderbar automatic signal-seeking radio with dual rear antennas for comfort and entertainment. The Impala waits for its next driver to take the steering wheel and hit the road on wide whitewall tires dressed with full-size spinner wheel covers.
