    Description

1963 chevrolet impala 427 muncie 4 speed 32k actual miles
This is a great running and driving car. It has lots of solid metal in it and I'm going to try to describe it accurately so you can bid with confidence. This car does not appear to have ever been in a accident. the title shows 32484 original miles.  It is a clear title in my name with no liens. I have driven this car and find it to be a pleasure to drive. Estimated at 425hp,  This  427 is a 454 block 427 heads and a 396 crankshaft with all the necessary machine work to build it. Where it was built by the previous owner I can tell you it is very strong. It does not tick, smoke, or knock. It holds good oil pressure. the fans kick on and hold proper temperature. There are many pictures of the engine when it was being built. There are some receipts to go with it. This car does not make puddles on the floor. As you might have guessed it is not an original drive train. There is Fitech fuel injection on it including their fuel pump in the new fuel tank. The muncie 4 speed is a “20” and it is said to be out of a mid to late 60’s corvette. The engine pulls very strong, the clutch feels perfect, and the shift feels normal. Though the brake system is original design it stops nice and straight. I had new front brake hoses and wheel cylinders installed. The drive shaft is rebuilt with new u joints and carrier bearing. Upon arrival I will take you on a short test drive to demonstrate the car. With that said I recommend that you plan to trailer it home unless you live here in Toledo Ohio. Reasons being there is still a single reservoir master cylinder in the car, There are no seat belts, the brake lights work intermittently (the problem seems to be aftermarket bulb sockets) and it has not been on a serious drive since it was built. The body on the car is very solid. Where I would say there is some body filler underneath the paint I can tell you when you feel inside the fender and quarter panel lips you feel metal. There is lots and lots of original metal. The doors are solid with good original metal at the lips everywhere i’ve looked. the doors open and close very nicely. Im providing many photos so you can see for yourself the solidness of the metal everywhere I can including around the windshield front and rear. The interior is not complete in that there are no rear seats but it does have a reupholstered 60 40 split bench seat. This was done locally and I can introduce you to the man who done a quality job on it. I removed the seat so you can see the original solid but not perfect floor boards, it is now back in the car. The headliner is replaced but it doesn't look tight enough. There is new carpeting (not installed). There are new lock assemblies for the ignition doors and trunk with keys (not installed). There are new aftermarket retro rims with new tires on it (cost 00.00). Exhaust system is duals. headers that go thru 2 different resonators and turn down just before the rear axle (still pretty loud). There are aftermarket temp, oil pressure, tachometer, and the thing that glows if you use too much rpm. Has new alternator which needs a updated harness. I believe the gas gauge works. In the trunk is a original radiator and 2 boxes of miscellaneous parts that go with it. MSD ignition is rebuilt. Has new Aluminum radiator with dual fans. Good quality engine mounts. The engine was said to be put thru break in but we did a separate break in to be sure. I have way more photos than I can put in the ad so if you want to see them all please ask. It can be viewed by appointment while this auction is ongoing. I reserve the right to end this auction early should I deem it necessary. Look at the floor pans and underneath photos. It looks really really good!! pay close attention to the underneath photos you will see a very small area where repair is needed by the drivers rear body mount. passenger front floor pan has holes in it but i did not replace it so you can receive this car with all its original floor pans intact. No I did not put the hood scoop on. looking at the photos one of them shows spots of oil on the ground,, this is not from the 63!!! Ready auto transport has been my “go to” for transportation. Now my disclaimers…… I have done the best job possible to describe this classic hot rod to you. If you choose to bid and buy without coming to see it I dont want to hear any complaints about how I described the car and any disputes you may decide about the accuracy of my statements. I have done my best to be as transparent as possible. After purchase buyer assumes the responsibility to examine and take whatever measures are necessary at their own expense to make the car safe for the road. Payment shall be at my bank in cash where we shall use their notary or any other secure form of payment that i authorize via eBay's system. Have questions? want more photos? just ask! thank you for bidding!!!
