    Description

    Vehicle Details
1968 Trimuph TR250. Runs and looks great. 6 cylinder 4 speed. Twin Weber carbs. Chrome wire wheels, front disc brakes. Clean California title. This TR250 drives very nicely. Originally from North Carolina, It underwent a major engine out restoration by the previous owner including lovely medium blue paint with a hint of metallic, a new convertible top with snap on cover and new tonneau cover. Unfortunately we could not get details of everything that was done from that owner's family, but we believe the engine was rebuilt since it is very strong with high compression and high oil pressure, and runs cool and never smokes . The seats are in good shape and much more comfortable than those in my 1964 TR4 back when I was in college. They certainly have been recovered, while the door panels appear original in great condition. The carpet is new as well. I've refinished the wood dash, installed new control knobs, added new seat belts, replaced the door hinges, the fuel sending unit and filler pipe, fitted new window tracks, and installed a new battery. I can tell that the restoration included some rust repair to the rear frame. The only rust I found was a small spot in the bottom of the trunk, which we repaired. When I had the door panels off to replace the window track and hinges there was no rust at all inside the doors (see photos) The body panels line up well with the exception of the trunk, where the gap on one side is slightly larger than the other. I suspect there were fender benders in the past, but the frame shows no sign of damage. The jack and wirewheel spanner are secured in the trunk with the spare. There is a modern radio, but no speakers. It does not rattle. This is a very attractive fun car that brings many smiles. We can assist with shipping or pick up in Malibu, California
