    Description

1968 Triumph TR250 restoration project. I purchased this project last year and have been collecting all the parts to properly repair it. They all rust and cars that may appear to be nicer are hiding much of that rust under the surface. This car has all the hard to find pieces that you need to repair it properly and a decent set of front and rear fenders and trunk panel.. Most of these cars need rockers and this car is no exception, yet the floors are surprisingly solid. Very hard to find NOS rear valance panel, complete H-Deck as if you know these cars, the H-deck where the rear fenders bolt to the body are often full of rust and bondo. Hood was cut and repaired around the bubble so could be repaired or just replace it with a used one.  Chassis also has the typical rust in the rear trailing arms and the car comes with a good TR6 frame that has been professionally straightened. Car is about 95% complete and includes the trim, lights, grille, gas tank, top frame, rear bumper, seats, doors, glass, rare wiper motor and much more. Why buy a more expensive one when you will need to tear it down anyways to fix it properly? With this car, you know what you are getting and once it is done, you will have a great car that will be worth much more than your investment. The engine and drivetrain are not original, appear to be from a later TR6, engine has an exhaust header and was running recently and looks clean under the valve cover (see picture).
Project to be sure, but worth the efforts, as these TR250's combine the best features of both the earlier TR4A body style, with the fantastic 6 cylinder drivetrain of the TR6. Pricing for these projects is all over the place, but we can all agree that the completed cars are worth $$$$$ as Bring a Trailer and Hagerty can demonstrate. I believe the price I am asking is quite fair, as you cannot find all the body parts included with the car, as well as a good TR6 frame for what I am asking. I reserve the right to end the listing at anytime as the car is advertised on other venues. I can reinstall the engine and transmission for shipping.
