Why this vehicle?
We are proud to represent this unique Ural Motorcycle once again. This is one of those rare motorcycles made for a very specific purpose. Originally built to shuttle parts and people from factory to factory in Irbit Russia. These workhorses were imported by IMZ Ural decades ago as a piece of history for the Ural brand. We were fortunate to locate one and get it back in running condition. It was then subsequently purchased by a local Ural customer & enthusiasts that needed it for a very specific purpose, parades! A unique purpose, just as unique as the Ural itself. To get it ready for parade duty the previous owner invested in additional creature comforts and even a new rear step to assist with passenger entry. Below you will see a complete list of service that has been performed to get this Ural in the best condition possible. We have gone through this Ural to ensure that it is a safe and reliable unique motorcycle that can be driven comfortably and used as intended. With over ,000 invested in service & reconditioning.
Vehicle History:
The history of this Ural is quite amazing. Back in Russia, these particular cargo-oriented Ural's were used not only by the local factories but by fire departments and police departments alike as an easy mode of transporting both equipment and gear to harder-to-reach areas. Most common in rural areas where getting to would be harder for larger vehicles. This particular Ural Workhorse founds it was into the United States thanks to IMZ-Ural importing 3 motorcycles decades ago. This may be one of the last remaining in the whole country. We found it years later after its importation in Texas. A Texas dealership owner happened to purchase it as a conversation starter with plans of completing a full restoration. His son would later happen upon it and reached out to us at UralNE to see if we would be interested in acquiring it. It did not take long for us to take him up on his offer and within weeks it was on its way to Boxborough.
We then started the process of rebuilding and getting started this unique Ural. Our Master Ural technicians Tad & Andrew started the process and after weeks of hard work, it was up and running in fantastic working conditions. A local customer and fellow Ural Enthusiasts knew once he saw it running and completed he had to have it for his mission of spreading good his community. It would go on to be used in parades, festivals, and rallies as a centerpiece. We are now excited to be representing this Ural Workhorse once again- anxious to find it a good home in the hands of another Ural & motorcycle enthusiast.
