    A Durable Case for an Over/Under or Side-By-Side Barrel Shotgun
    Aluminum and wood construction, with reinforced edges.  This sturdy case weighs 13-1/2 lb.
    The outside measures 30-1/4" long, 8" high, and 7-1/2" wide, not counting the feet and handle.
    The upper half's receiver space is 21-1/2" long. The space for the forend is 11" x 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" deep.
    It's lined with black corduroy fabric that's in mostly good condition, with some soiling from storing a gun, and some minor wear.
    The lower half, where the barrels are stored, is 28-1/2" long, 6-1/2" wide, and about 3" deep.  Accounting for the way the padded pieces are arranged at the ends, barrels up to 28-1/2" long will fit.  There are three dividers for the barrel compartment. They're semi-rigid foam covered with the same black corduroy fabric.  They were originally glued in place but the glue has deteriorated and they're now loose.  Glue them back in or make your own dividers or a custom foam insert to fit your specific barrels.
    The latches are lockable, made by Excelsior, and use a common 151 key.  There is no key with the case but these are available, the same key used on most Pachmayr boxes and similar cases.  In any case, the Presto combination lock works.
    The outside panels are aluminum. They're clean and have moderate marks and scuffs from use.  The ends and corners are solid, not dented. There's a strong piano hinge at the bottom.
    The top and bottom halves overlap where they meet when the case is closed. It's not a plain butt-end construction.
    Overall a well-made case that's well-used but still useful.
