  • Condition: In excellent antique condition with light normal wear from age and use. Gorgeous patina and age wear! Fender is tight and sturdy. Some bent wire and several minor breaks in wire but no large holes, as pictured. Small split in lower brass rail at front right. Finials (2) at back on each side have been replaced with brass caps. No other issues found. Please review pictures thoroughly for condition.

    Antique 19th c. American Brass & Iron Wirework Mesh Fireplace Screen Fender 1840
    Gorgeous antique 19th c. American large brass and iron wirework fire fender, circa 1840.  Wonderful patina and age wear!  Screen is tight and sturdy.  Fabulous brass tubular rails at top and bottom with sweet brass ball finials at top and beautiful woven iron wire and scrolling wirework.  Nice large proportion.  Stunning antique 19th c. brass & wirework fireplace screen will add style and elegance to any hearth.
    Dimensions:  Fender measures 42"L x 18-1/2"H x 12-1/2"D.
