    Description

    The whole body of each andiron is decorated with hammer edge like and small circular pock marks. The andirons are cast and are hollow in the backside. But weigh about 9lbs each
    They are marked 3713.
    The bars are each marked 1919 which I believe to be the year of manufacture as well as being marked "R" for the right one and "L" for the left.
    Each front post measures 18" tall by about 9" wide at the base and 2 1/4" deep.
    The bar extends back about 18" and will hold logs 3 1/4" off of the ground.
    These andirons have a pretty good worn patina full of blemishes, oxidation, polish marks but could definitely be cleaned up more with some elbow grease.
