    with 1917 Panama Canal Real Photo greeting card
    The US Dept of Labor Seaman's ID Card issued by Immigration Service at Port of New Orleans Louisiana Feb 22nd 1918
    and Certified by US Customs Intelligence Bureau Port of New York July 24th 1918
    This card with it own serial number 196755 has the Captains actual photo
    The Panama Canal Pedro Miguel Locks photo greeting card
    from World War 1 era British / Canada Ship Captain in 1917
    to his wife
    William J Boyd , a Commander , Shipmaster , and Captain, commanded 3 (or more?) ships:
    4 masted Barque Loudon Hill from 1902 to 1904
    a Mabel Brown type of wooden ship
    and later, SS Canadian Farmer
    he also commanded various vessels out of Vancouver British Columbia Canada,
    including one of the Mabel Brown type of wooden ships built at Wallace Shipyards,
    which he safely delivered to England (presumably during WW1?)
    born in Ireland, he settled in Vancouver British Columbia Canada in 1912
    later (possibly) living in New Westminster and then in Burnaby
    Captain William J Boyd passed away in 1933 at 69 years of age
    Condition:
