Exceedingly rare Bound in Hard Covers; Captain's Log ,140 pp, identified on the inside to a well-known Portland,Maine Sea Captain Isaac Fenton Sturdivant. Captain Sturdivant ships documented in this ledger would be the Birmingham & Milan from the years 1845-1851. The Ship Birmingham was once listed as an immigrant vessel and has a rich history of bringing immigrants to America from England. The Milan Schooner the Birmingham in this book, made many voyages across the Atlantic to England and to American eastern ports. Both ship’s captained by Sturdivant were stationed in Portland, Maine. (Some ) of these voyages listed in the book are: Bremen Haven to New York Liverpool to Savannah, Georgia Milford Haven to New York Newport to Portland Philadelphia to New Orleans New Orleans to New York Basque-Island Portland to New York (8 x 13 inches in with both boards firmly intact with strong clear inscriptions by Captain Sturdivant)Capt.
