DANNY SHEAFFER ST. LOUIS CARDINALS GAME USED & AUTOGRAPHED BAT.
This brown and rose colored beauty is a Louisville Slugger model C235 bat and it exhibits medium game use. There is pine tar on the handle, seam marks on the barrel and a crack in the handle.
The bat has been autographed by several players from the 1996 & 1997 STL squads. I purchased from a gentleman mid 1997, who gathered the signatures (minus Sheaffer) earlier in the year at Spring Training. I was able to have Danny sign the bat at a St Louis area baseball card show. Danny was a solid, journeyman catcher for several teams but saw most of his playing time with the Cardinals. Other signatures include: Andy Benes, Alan Benes, Dennis Eckersley, Gary Gaetti, Todd Stottlemyre, Rick Honeycutt, Donovan Osborne, Ron Gant, Tom Pagnozzi, and Danny Jackson. Some of The gold pen signatures are lighter than others and I would rate them as a 6-7 overall. I have no authentication documents but having been to many card show signings and charity events with players over the years, I have no doubt on the authenticity of these signatures.
