Description
DescriptionThis amazing piece was salvaged from a York Pa Victorian.
It is made of pine and is painted, the white top coat is chipping and peeling in places.
There is a backsplash at the top above the upper shelf.
The upper shelf is supported by 2 round fluted columns and is faced with 3 carved festoons.
An original beveled mirror is flanked by 2 raised panels on each side and 2 short fluted columns topped with shelves.
The lower shelf is supported by 5 small fluted corbels with flat panels between the corbels.
There are ornate raised and fluted moldings around the opening.
Overall measurements are 79.75 inches wide, 95.5 tall and 11.5 deep not including the breast return moldings.
The opening is 50 inches wide by 35.5 inches tall.
Overall, it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. The home is came from burned over a year ago and has had no roof that entire time. When salvaged it was covered in mold, I gave it a light scrubbing but you will want to wash everything down with a bleach solution. Please look at the pictures carefully.

I accept returns only if my description is inaccurate. For example, if I pull an item from a building that I believe to be original to the house and it is later discovered to be a reproduction, or if I enter an incorrect measurement, I will allow the buyer to return the item. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch.
About Us
My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! Thanks for visiting. Steve and Michelle
