Why JavaOnLava?
JavaOnLava is passionate about plants – especially, Java Ferns.
We believe Java Ferns are the easiest, most versatile and most-likely-to-be-successful plants available to the aquarium enthusiast today.
Java Ferns come in a wide array of shapes, sizes, colors and growth habits that will survive, acclimate and flourish in wide-ranging water conditions – Java Ferns are flexible, adaptable and forgiving plants. Survivors and thrivers, Java Ferns are the perfect choice for all experience level aquarium hobbyists.
We let nature be the guide.
Java Ferns attach themselves to rocks and roots in their natural environment. JavaOnLava plants are individually handcrafted to mimic this process. Time is the next key ingredient - waiting for the plant to anchor itself to its new ‘home’ and thrive.
JavaOnLava plants are
grown fully submerged for a minimum of six months and are heavily encrusted with roots anchoring their ‘home’ stone.
Our plants are ready for your new or established aquatic habitat immediately upon arrival and provide instant décor and habitat for nearly all underwater creatures.
Attached to an organic, natural chunk of lava rock, the plant and the hobbyist are provided important advantages and opportunities. Completely moveable and removable, JavaOnLava plants are ‘designed-for-redesigning’ and making maintenance easy and fun. Lift, prune, even wash in the sink and return to the same or a new spot – it’s that easy – no roots in your substrate to restrict imagination. No replanting, no weights, no fertilizer tabs.
JavaOnLava plants are a ‘double’ natural water filter.
Java Ferns thrive in high fish load environments and consume resulting ammonia – actively removing it from the water. The natural lava ‘home’ stones are also an ideal environment for natural nitrifying beneficial bacteria to colonize and thrive.
We sell high-quality, variety-specific Java Fern (Microsorum Pteropus) plants specifically for submerged habitats like aquariums and paludariums.
We care deeply for our plants and take pride in shipping only plants that we personally would be excited to receive.
We ship happy and healthy plants ready to thrive in your aquatic habitat. We are passionate about our plants and we know you will be too.
We have done the hard part
– waiting for the Java Fern plant to anchor itself to its home and thrive.
