Large Antique Hand Forged Fireplace Trammel

Description

For auction is a large original antique fireplace trammel that dates to the late 1800s. It shows signs of blacksmithing marks and is unusually lang. When closed, it measures approximately 39 1/2"; extended, it measures 67 1/2". The metal from which it is made is 5/16" thick. The bottom designed to hold a pot over the fire shows signs of being heated from use.
