Big Stick Baseball Bat
This
Adirondack Big Stick
Baseball Bat was used by Mike Schmidt during the Phillies MLB 1988 season.   Later it was given by Schmidt to a lifelong friend of his, a renowned Philadelphia Sports Broadcaster.  It has been in his collection ever since.
While we can assume this extremely rare bat was not used in a game, it was actually
used by Schmidt in Batting Practice, Over and Over and Over again!
Factory ordering records indicate that the majority of the bats Schmidt ordered were in the 32-34 ounce range, tailored to Schmidt's desired specifications.  This war-club, ORDERED BY SCHMIDT, tips the scales at an amazing 40++ ounces!
I've NEVER seen a bat with so many ball marks and ink transfers!  Yet, it still remained uncracked.
The ASSUMPTION that it was ONLY used in BP is a reasonable and safe conservative thought.  But there's just no-denying that Michael Jack "jacked" dozens of balls over-the-fence with this gorgeous hunk of lumber.
Beyond the bat matching factory records, note the vintage age-faded black marker uniform number "20" on the knob.  Look at the heavily worn, carefully custom tapered tape, around the knob, consistently seen on Schmidt's late 1980's game used bats.  Check out the bold blue sharpie autograph on the barrel too.
