Ordinarily, I would start by talking about Khris Davis. But the first thing we should talk about is the error on this bat. This bat is a Genuine Oakland Athletics Louisville Slugger bat. But the word Athletics is misspelled!! The bat says “Athletcs”!! Clearly, an error!!
The bat is autographed by Davis to the left of the error. The bat is MLB Authenticated as autographed by Davis. To be clear, this bat is NOT authenticated as game used.
Khris Davis, of course, was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2009 MLB Draft. He was traded to Oakland on February 12, 2016 and signed this bat shortly thereafter (on February 28, 2016, according to the MLB Authentication). Davis has played alongside the likes of Marcus Semien, Matt Chapman, Ramon Laureano, Sean Murphy, Frankie Montas, Chad Pinder, Matt Olson, Stephen Piscotty, and Jurickson Profar. On May 17, 2016, he hit three home runs in one game, including a walk-off grand slam — only the second time that happened in MLB history! Davis finished 2016 with over 40 home runs and 100 RBI.
