Pinocchio Childs Valet by Galetti Carloe.
Vintage Pinocchio child valet. This is 32.5 inches tall. The widest piece is approximately 16 inches wide. It is in overall very good condition.
What I have observed :
1. The original sticker is still on the base.
2. There is some discoloration to the black base.
3. The yellow portion has a crack in it.
4. There are some spots on the piece that I would call bruises that are small dents.
5. I don’t believe this is the original nose. I have no proof of that but the finish seems different. That may be intentional.
Overall this is in great condition for it’s age, roughly 70-80 years old and it’s purpose. It would have been used in a kids room.
The top two piece pivot. It has a center rod that fastens with a wing nut int he base. I have seen different configurations of the pieces on line but this seems to be the most common.
This is a very cool, unusual and hard to find piece. I see several selling and sold for considerably more than this listing price.
