    Description

    18th Century Full Raised Panel Room from the Dr Timothy Child’s house in Pittsfield MA. House dates from the late 18th century. The paneling is a complete room and very rare with the height of 8 1/2. It includes chimney Brest with raised panel,sides, 4 rare window seats with raised panel details, pair of interior double doors, 2 full size wall cupboards with original H L hinges, raised panel wainscot, another interior door wit original H L hinges, large quantity of moldings, including crown.
    Pictures in black and white are from when the paneling was set up in a museum. The paneling was removed from the house in the early 20th century when the house was destroyed.
    Unusual features of this house are the rare window seats. There is 1 on each side of the fireplace as well as 2 on a side exterior wall. The room also has interior double doors, and 8 1/2, height.
