Description

For sale is a rare vintage 1948 “Froggy The Gremlin” 5” Rubber Squeeze Toy based on the Buster Brown Gang TV Show of the 40’s and 50’s by Rempel Mfg. Inc.
This little guy is in great condition, stands on his own, and still squeaks when squeezed.
Froggy’s color is still very vivid and there are no breaks.
There is one small area on his tummy above the right shoe that has some slight wear.
Some History:
The first television program was hosted by Smilin’ Ed McConnell and his Buster Brown Gang.
Actor, Andy Devine, took over the TV program when McConnell died and the show was renamed "Andy’s Gang"!
The two shows aired during the 40’s and 50’s.
Froggy was a mischief-maker and famous for interrupting the guests on the show.
Andy would say “Plunk Your Magic Twanger Froggy” and he would pop up on top of a grandfather’s clock saying “Hiya Kids, Hiya, Hiya”.
Enjoy this super nostalgic piece of early television. Froggy will be carefully packaged for safe shipment.
