    Description

Up for bids is this handsome shipwreck artifact display which encompasses two artifacts recovered off the wreck of the "S.S. Regina"
The artifacts are a fiddle back spoon which is uniquely displayed on part of one ship's wooden shipping crates which still maintains it's corneredge notches and original nails.
The Regina was lost in what has since been described as the worst storm in the history of Great Lakes shipping. The storm sank at least a dozen ships, stranded more than a score of other vessels, and claimed at least two hundred and fifty lives.
Much has been written about the historic 1913 Great Lakes Storm including the Regina which was considered a mystery wreck for many years until her discovery as she vanished without a trace during the storm.
(The last image in the listing depicts ithe "Regina" and is  for historical reference only and not part of the auction).
The shipwreck artifact display has a brass plaque attached to the front detailing the wreck and a metal hanger on the back.
Great Lakes artifacts are some of the more scarce artifacts to acquire these days as the ship's in these waters are now protected from salvage. These artifacts were legally acquired. by salvage rights.
Ready to hang in any nautical themed office or study!
    Good luck!
Also, please be sure  to check out my other shipwreck related artifacts all listed now on eBay including Mel Fisher's Atocha and the 1715 Fleet as well as others.
