    Item Description
    This listing is for ONE  8 3/8 inch Revolver Box, the exact box in the photos with all its contents; and the only one we have like it. Here is an original factory box for Smith & Wesson Revolvers with 8 3/8 inch barrels.  Manufacturer was Smith & Wesson of Springfield, MA, and its subcontractors. Label has been removed, we estimate this box was manufactured some time in the late 1990s. Construction is one piece folded cardboard outer with similarly constructed inner insert. Internal dimensions are 16 5/8 inches length by 5 7/8 width or height, by 2 1/4 inches thickness. External dimensions are slightly more, of course. For dimensions on the revolvers, please consult smith-wesson com. This one issued with a 8 3/8 inch revolver in it, but it will accommodate any from 2 1/2 inch to 8 3/8 inch. This box contains its insert with its trigger stud; and its protective Nox paper with factory stamping. Surface detractions are moderate, principally edge wear. We rate this box as Very Good Condition, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
