Smith & Wesson vintage box for a model 36

Description

Up for auction is a box for a three inch, nickel, round butt model 36 chief special.  This is an early 1960's blue border silver box that nickel guns came in.  It is solid with no broken corners, odors or structural damage.  The embossed label is a little dirty but clear and the interior is clean.  There is no serial number on the bottom of the box.  Seems to be common with silver boxes for nickel guns.  There is obviously heavy scuffing on most all corners.  I have tried to highlight this in some of the pictures.  There is also a piece of tape on the bottom.  This box is better than it looks.  It is totally solid and deserving of a nice early 1960's nickel three inch round butt chief.  This is a really hard box to ever find.  If you have a gun for it or are looking for that vintage chief, you should consider having this on the shelf for when you find the gun.  The box will be harder to find than the gun.  Will ship to the United States only
