An excellent aid to leave no trace backpacking – it really helps you doo-doo the right thing. Its large scoop makes mockery of tent stakes or trekking poles for digging. Use the length to gauge if your cat-hole is deep enough.
Strong and tough, they're made of aerospace grade 7075-T6 aluminum. This alloy meets mil-spec AMS4045 so it's not just "7075-T6," it's HIGH STRENGTH 7075-T6 which is almost impossible to get in other countries, especially China. BEWARE of knockoffs!

- .45 oz (less than the weight of 2 1/2 teaspoons of water) - for weight fanatics only: those who eagerly learn the ins and outs of their gear to get the most out if it. Regularly using our Advances Techniques (see the graphic in the images) is mandatory for this trowel.
Deuce #2
- .60 oz (less than 3 1/3 teaspoons of water) - for most backpackers, our most popular trowel. A nice balance between crazy-lightweight and overall toughness. Advanced Techniques recommended in difficult ground.
Deuce #3
- .97 oz (less than 2 tablespoons of water) - A full-sized, beast of a trowel for users who regularly encounter difficult ground. Thicker material makes the #3 twice as strong as our #2 and more comfortable in the hand.
