    Description

Macro algae is a great way to reduce nitrates and phosphates in saltwater aquariums. Often thought of as a plants, algae are actually part of the Protista Biological Kingdom. Unlike plants, they can survive without roots, as they absorb water and nutrients through their entire body.
An excellent resource for marine hobbyists, not only making water clearer and coral brighter, but macro algae can also reduce, and eventually eliminate, the need for water changes altogether.
Ulva, or Sea Lettuce, macro algae is generally easy to care for. It prefers low waterflow and low to medium lighting. This algae is transparent green and film like in appearance, often with small holes and perferations. It should sit/float freely in low current areas. Your purchase is for a 1/4 cup of live Ulva Sea Lettuce.
Macro algae specimens are guaranteed to arrive alive, double bagged, and sealed in thermally insulated packaging. During cold to temperate weather, a heating pack will provided at no additional cost. Combined shipping on macro algae is also allowed at no additional cost. Free shipping on orders of dollars or greater.
