Unique Image on an Antique Vintage Cast Iron Fireplace Surround with Summer Cover.. Very Heavy. Here we have a highly unusual surround with a summer cover featuring what I believe to be a Victorian child or woman's portrait in profile. I have never seen a summer cover like this. It is very beautiful in a very understated way. Perhaps it came out of a hospital dedicated to nursing or a religious institution or a girls school. Or perhaps a Victorian home. The overall size of this item is 30 and 1/2 in wide and 30 and 3/4 of an inch high. The opening for the summer cover is 25 inches high and 19 1/2 in wide the summer cover itself is probably another inch and a half high and having the same width as the opening. The most realistic representation of the oxidization/color of the surround is in the first two or three photographs. This item could be shipped in two parcels through the US postal service. Each parcel would be approximately 40 lb..You would have to pay for the insurance shipping and a packing fee for each item separately through PayPal.
