VA-01 Antique Winchester Leg of Mutton Gun Case

It is my goal to accurately represent the item you are bidding on. The photos should include every surface and a variety of angles. Specific notable flaws will be shown in specific photos. You are bidding on an Antique Winchester Leg of Mutton gun case. 25" x 9" x 2-1/2". Part of a larger lot of gun stuff I got at auction. It needed repair and so I repaired it. I just couldn't see tossing it out.
What I have done is REPAIR, not restore, some age and wear related damage. It is now ready to be loved and used again. A truly beautiful piece of old shooting gear.
The leather hinge was torn through. I cut a new hinge and replaced it.
The lip of the lid had popped most of its stitches so I removed all of the old thread and restitched the lip.
The closing strap was torn in half. I made a new strap and replaced it.
The main seam on the front angle had 8-10 popped stitches. I restitched that section.
The inner shelf had some popped stitches. Impossible to restitch without pulling the entire case apart so I used Gorilla Wood Glue to secure the shelf.
I cleaned the entire case with Saddle Soap and gave it 2 coats of Red Moose Burgundy leather cream.
I did NOT replace the hold down loop. It is dry, worn and torn but I did not want to separate the buckle and hardware strap from the body of the case.
The carry strap is missing and I don't have hardware or an example to work from so I did NOT make a new strap.
The case still has bumps, scratches and typical wear. The various photos are representative of the case.
