    This is a vintage 1962 Mattel
    WOODY WOODPECKER
    Talking Puppet.
    The talking mechanism just runs VERY fast, so it is NOT talking properly. It is in pretty nice shape. Tag is intact. His felt comb has one tiny nick. Woody is from a non-smoking/peft-free home. No repairs on it other than me touching up the minor paint loss on the tip of his beak. One of my better efforts and I show a close-up. On the right side of his rubber head there is a faint irregular stain. His right felr hand has a shallow strip of outer felt gone in the middle. I show a close-up.
    The white parts are a bit dingy, not bright white. It was used, but not abused. I see a couple of small dirty/soiled spots. I never tried cleaning it. Displays well. The only date I see on the tag is 1962.
