    Description

    This listing is for an early wrought iron fireplace or hearth pot rest.  It is triangle shaped with a round base.  A pot, griddle, pan, etc. would rest on this piece, suspended over a fire on a chain or saw tooth trammel.  This particular example has a triangle shaped upper body to prevent tilting.  It measures about 17 inches wide at it's widest point, and 20 inches high.  It was painted some 20 years ago, and has been exposed to some weather.  It is a nice piece for display in a large hearth or fireplace.
