*Antique French Gothic Revival Walnut Wood Fireplace Surround/Mantel

This beautifully carved Gothic revival fireplace surround is from France and it dates to the late 1800's. It is made from solid and veneered walnut with excellent fit and finish. The top of the mantel is unfinished and there is an opening where a hood would have been (see photos). Overall this impressive fireplace surround is in good antique condition, straight and solid with usual signs of wear. Dimensions: 64.75" wide, 61" tall and 23.25" deep (front to back). The fireplace opening is 39" tall and 35" wide.
