This antique fireplace hood is from France and dates to the late 1800's. This is a very high quality hood that originally was a crown at the top of a fireplace. It is very well made from solid and veneered walnut. The hood is in very good antique condition with only slight chips and scratches. Note that there are several woodworm holes throughout the lower portion of the hood (see photos). Dimensions: 54.75" tall, 50.75" wide and 6.25" deep.
