Prabhas’s Spirit is a police story: Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga

Actor Prabhas and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga are presently working on their first collaboration, Spirit. The filmmaker recently attended the grand pre-release event of the Telugu film, Pottel, in Hyderabad on October 21. At the event, he was asked to disclose one unknown information about Spirit. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga mentioned that Spirit is a police story, and it is expected that Prabhas will don the khaki in the film.
As soon as it was revealed, Prabhas’s fans at the venue screamed in excitement. A video of the moment is now going viral on social media.

In a throwback interview with Galatta Plus, Sandeep Reddy Vanga mentioned that Spirit’s budget was Rs 300 crore. He also expressed his confidence in the film and mentioned that it would mint Rs 150 crore in theatres on its first day.
Explaining the same, he said, “I think because the kind of budget they are putting, I feel the producer is safe. With Prabhas and my combination, along with satellite and digital rights, we can recover our budget there itself. If everything goes well with the teaser, trailer and songs pre-release and whatever we do to grab the audiences attention, opening day would be Rs 150 crore. It’s a trade calculation. It should be worldwide or pan-India. Easily it could be Rs 150 crore in one day for a film like this if the material is good.”
Spirit marks Prabhas’s 25th film in his career.
Soon, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga will announce the film’s cast and crew. The film is currently in the pre-production phase.
